The legendary, award-winning event, crowned “Top Festival of 2010″ by Billboard magazine Download returns for its eight year in 2011.
The Download Festival is a mammoth rock event based at the spiritual home of rock – Donington Park. First held in 1980 (aka Monsters of Rock), the stage at Donington Park helped launch the careers of rock legends AC/DC, ZZ Top, Def Leppard and Guns N Roses. Recent headliners include Iron Maiden, Metallica, Black Sabbath, The Prodigy, Faith No More and Aerosmith. This is open-air rock at its grimy, sweaty, beer-fueled best!
2010 year’s Download was something special. Over 120 bands provided three solid days of the most eclectic and ferocious rock ever seen at a festival, playing in blistering hot sunshine to hoards of rock-hungry music mentalists. It was one to remember.
