V Festival, sponsored by Virgin Media, kicks off its 15th anniversary celebrations by announcing a world class line up for this year’s festival on the 21st and 22nd August 2010 just 4 days away, being headlined by Kings of Leon and Kasabian. Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex and Weston Park, Staffordshire – V Festival 2010 will give some 170,000 revellers a glance of that rare festival treat: pop stars. Expect the good and great from the charts swapping venues from 21-22 August with a spattering of inoffensive and uncontroversial rockers to seal the deal.
Despite some reports, Peter is NOT replacing Cheryl Cole, who was forced to pull out of the event after contracting malaria earlier this summer. Organisers will be announcing a replacement for the X Factor starlet later this week. The singer and former husband of glamour model Katie Price will play the Arena stage, which also boasts Ellie Goulding and Tinie Tempah.
There will be four main arenas to choose from and a few branded bars to spice things up. It will all be wrapped up by 11pm as well. Tickets sold out for V Festival within hours of going on sale and up to 90,000 people are expected to attend Weston Park over the two days.
The festival takes place in Chelmsford and Staffordshire on August 21-22, and will be headlined by Kasabian and Kings Of Leon.
